This conversation was held while both of us were in a war zone, Ukraine & Israel.
Kateryna introduced herself as an educational activist, co-founder of a Democratic school in Ukraine, and a proud mother of two amazing daughters.
During this challenging and unpredictable time of a war zone, Kateryna emphasized her practical wisdom regarding community and its contribution for life. Community is one of the main reasons Kateryna keeps choosing to be an educational activist and staying in Ukraine. Within this school that she established, there is a close community of parents, with similar values. Their collective mission has been to create a happy childhood for their kids. Kateryna added that if to be honest, they created another happy childhood for themselves. It has been a co-creating process, where each of the community members put their effort, soul, and lots of work into something beautiful and meaningful. Then your community friends become your real friends. They built the school by their own hands, a little community, with little money, and lots of love.
